Especially with all the new processing software we have these days. This problem has been discussed in many forms before on the forums with USB devices not working in 64 bit windows 7 systems. I did that and put in the five digit code, but it says there were various different releases of the webcam which it thinks my LPI device is, so I’m a bit stuck on that one. The Autostar Suite installed fine. It looks like you can take and save an image about every 1.

I used it for the first time that night to image Saturn see above image. I’m new to this, so if anyone can help at all I would be really grateful as it’s doing my head in.
2010 – How To Install Meade LPI -|- Windows Vista & Windows 7 Ver 5.5
The software did not install from the CD correctly. A second CD was tried but had problems running the installation program. The device itself is working as tested by the webcam programso it must be something to do with the LPI’s own software or something I suppose. You need to be a member in order to leave a comment.
I have put the LPI back into the USB, and although nothing is showing on the image part of the Envisage screen it’s just blank greyI now have the red light permanently on at the back of the camera, which must be good news! Has anyone here gone into their Windows registry and changed the name of “Trust Webcam I think I’ve done everything the way I should have, but how do I actually get an image off this thing???
MEADE LPI DRIVER
Someone also mentioned going to the Trust website. The camera is recognised as “Trust Webcam”, and works with Yawcam.
Find all posts by supernova As I’ve re-installed everything today my registry entries still say “Trust Webcam Meade Autostar Image Processing for Windows version 3. I’ve searched the web but I can’t find anything, not that I’m an expert in searching. Thanks for your ideas so far – at least I’m going be able to get something cameda a webcam program if nothing else, but it would be nice to have Autostar meqde and running properly.

Meade LPI Camera
Click download drivers then enter Webcam then select webcam in use. This site is a member of WebRing. This software looks like something that was done ten years ago as it only supports up to color palettes and only works with gray scale images or one color plane medae a color image.
Meade lpi webcam working! I just found my old one of these too. Haven’t tried it out at night yet but it seems to be working fine on terrestrial targets during the day.
